The keypad on the N96 is context sensitive so it changes depending on what you’re doing. The dual-slider function from the N95 is still there but the finish is much more polished with rounded edges and that gloss black finish. Nokia N96 not only does it feel slick, it’s also feels super light, and it boasts a host of new features. And, with 16GB of storage on board and another 8GB via MicroSD there’s no shortage of space for games and movies.
For telly addicts, there’s a DVD-H tuner on board with full interactive functionality. Expected to go on sale by late summer in the UK the N96 packs a 2.8-inch screen and a 5-megapixel snapper with autofocus and dual LED flash. A nice touch is the little kickstand on the back for when you’re watching movies on the plane.

GPS is the assisted variety and given that this running a newer, optimised version of Series 60 a lot of the bugs we saw with the N95 are mere memories on the N96 - in short, this thing is a proper performer.
