Nokia N95 Vs N96

N95 Vs N96
The thing about Nokia is that it knows the things that it does well and it continues to do them time and time again. Take the Nokia N96 as an example. It is a handset with so many features, yet it is a very simple handset to navigate, making it a real winner with consumers around the globe. The Nokia N96 is the N95's younger brother and is altogether leaner and meaner than its sibling. Something tells us that 2008 is going be another year where Nokia gains yet more market share in the mobile communications market.

The unique thing about the N96 is the fact that it comes with a built in TV tuner. This means that you can now watch TV whilst on the move. Unfortunately it seems unlikely that this feature will be available to UK users as the infrastructure over here will not support it, but for other users in the EU this is surely a much welcomed feature. The screen on the Nokia N96 measures a massive 2.8 inches, this helps to prevent eye strain when watching video and will surely help with internet browsing a much more enjoyable and useful experience.

The Nokia N96 will come with an incredible 16GB of storage. This is the largest storage capacity of any device in the marketplace at the time of writing. This is further expandable by using the Micro SD card slot that will take a card of up to 8GB. With an 8GB card that would mean that you could store up to 60 hours of video on this handset, now that is impressive.

The N96 will come with a 5 megapixel camera equipped with a Carl Zeiss lens. This feature hasn't changed much from the original N95, except for some slight software updates. If you are looking for the ultimate multimedia mobile phone, then hold out for the N96, it will be a great addition to the N series family.

The Nokia N96 is an HSPDA mobile phone that also features WLAN support. This means that it will automatically connect to your wireless network when you are at home, but when you are out and about, it will switch of to the HSDPA network ensuring you get comparable download speeds to that of your broadband connection at home. This phone is therefore suited to the individual who needs to be connected all the time, without interruption or hesitation. Nokia is doing what it does best "connecting people".

The N96 has an impressive 2.8 screen. This is ideal for viewing documents and watching films. Perhaps the sucker punch for the N96 is the digital TV tuner that is included. Now you can watch live TV on your phone wherever you are, whatever you are doing, now that is impressive. Sadly we are still unsure whether this feature will be supported in the UK, but we are hoping that it will.

The internal storage of the N96 stands at an incredible 16GB, enough for 40 hours of video playback. There maybe battery issues with the N95 but with this much capacity, Nokia will need to ensure the phone can support long playback functionality, if it doesn't this device may never take off. The large internal storage capacity is also useful for the music playback of the device. The N96 comes complete with a 3.5mm phone jack meaning you can use your own headphones to listen to music. If you like multimedia, you will love the N96.
