Elements Interactive Releases Edge SDK 2.20 |

Elements Interactive B.V. releases version 2.20 of their
multi-platform mobile game engine Edge. This new release adds DirectX
hardware support (DirectDraw) for both Windows Desktop and Windows
Mobile 5. Other new features include the ability to read available
video memory, getting detailed surface information, a function to
retrieve the current date and time and a feature to quickly replace one
surface color with another.

Edge licensees are entitled to download and install the commercial
version of the new Edge SDK to take advantage of DirectDraw. An
evaluation version can be downloaded for free as well.
Key features of the Edge SDK include true multi-platform development,
high-performance graphics, RGBA surfaces and PNG support for all
platforms, 3D graphics and both Bluetooth and TCP/IP network support.
Commercially available game titles like the action platformer Li-Nuggz,
space shooter Blazar and popular multi-player puzzle game Quartz 2 are
powered by Edge.
