 Elements Interactive Elements Interactive B.V. launches a
triple edition model of mobile game engine EDGELIB, introducing Lite, Standard
and Full editions of its cross-platform technology. "The idea is to bring even more
cost-effective versions of EDGELIB to the market," says Elements
Interactive CEO Danny Hoffman. "The main goal of providing three different
editions and three different pricing tags is to offer feature-specific
libraries to fit each developer's need, while also bringing the library to the
smallest game development studios.EDGELIB is available in a Lite, Standard
and Full edition, each containing more functionality.
The EDGELIB Lite edition contains all
features to create high-performance 2D games for mobile devices in a true
multi-platform environment, including fast 2D blitting operations. Licensing
price is $150 for first and subsequent years.
EDGELIB Standard consists of everything
the Lite edition offers, but adds networking features for Bluetooth and TCP/IP,
additional image loaders, pixel precise collision detection, the extended
blitlet set and much more. Also included is support by e-mail from the actual
developers. Licensing prices are $450 for the first year and $350 for
subsequent years.
EDGELIB Full includes all features,
including hardware accelerated 3D graphics using OpenGL ES, advanced 3D
operations, RGBA surfaces, all supported image loaders, the complete set of
optimized blitlets and full support by e-mail and instant messaging from the
actual developers. Licensing prices are $950 for the first year and $650 for
subsequent years.
All supported target platforms are
included in all three editions to emphasize the cross-platform character of the
engine. The evaluation version of EDGELIB for non-commercial use is
unrestricted and includes all features just as the Full edition.

of mobile applications and games for Windows Mobile Pocket PC, Windows Mobile
Smartphone, Symbian Series 60, Series 80, Series 90, Symbian UIQ, Gamepark
